        Oh it has, but nothing came of it back then.
        (Aside of my patches which do it 80-90% of the way.)

        Thru approval process where the change is discussed at
        that "deepthought" list, and then powers that be push
        it to Linus.

        Which reminds me, that list was moved a week or two ago
        to other site.  oss.sgi.com,  if I remember right...
