Hey all, I have a strange problem I can't seem to figure out. 

I have a laptop running Redhat 6.0, 2.2.13, with the latest pcmcia
support. 
Its using a 3com 3ccFEM656 ethernet pcmcia card.

Ok, The laptop is on one of our subnets *.*.97.*, the laptop's ip is
*.*.97.211,
the default router is at *.*.97.1, my computer is at *.*.97.210. 

I can bring the ethernet card up correctly and it seems to work fine. I
can
ping any address on the *.*.97.* subnet, including the default router
and my computer.

I added the default route for the gateway, but I can't seem to get the
packets to 
go beyond the router. Here are the routes I have.

I'm pretty sure the routes are correct, because when I traceroute
anything not
on the same subnet, it heads toward the router. It does manage to do DNS
lookups
because I've got a nameserver on the same subnet. This routing table is
identical
to the one on my computer, which is also running Redhat 6.0, 2.2.13.

Here is a list of things I'm trying to keep in mind.

A. The router isn't mine, therefore, I can't touch it. But I shouldn't
need to because
   it works fine with my computer. And the router isn't filtering
packets, because I tried
   using my computer's ip on the laptop. Which didn't help at all.

B. The network is all switched, so tcpdump doesn't help me.

C. I guess it might be something in the sketchy support for the card I'm
using, but
   I thought I'd see if any here could help me before I bother the
grumpy people who 
   are developing pcmcia support. ;)
