Hi Joe,
I've had "some luck" with a 3Com ImpactIQ modem. Earlier this year I was trying
to get our church onto the Internet using an 2B+D ISDN line to our ISP. I could
connect to our ISP at 112K (two 56K B channels) using the ImpactIQ with a
Windows-95 client, but when I tried to connect to the ISP under Linux (Red Hat
6.0 + erratas + new kernel), I could only get a single B channel to work (56K);
the second B channel would never come in service. I worked on this for several
months, but ended up switching over to SDSL.
I hope you have better luck. :-)
Jon

Has anyone had any experiences with implementing 3Com ISDN modems under
Linux (good, bad or indifferent)? Specifically the 3ComImpact IQ. We
are running Red Hat 6.0 and are looking to get ISDN, but the 3Com site
mentions nothing about compatibility with Linux.
Thanks,
Joe
