Hello,
I am using CBQ on a 2.2.12 Linux Box (machine A) and am limiting
traffic from a certain IP address (machine B) to 200K bit/sec using the
cbq-init script that comes with Redhat6.1 . When I ftp a large file
between the A and B, I get rates of 200K bit/sec. But if the file sizes
are lesser than 100K I get rates rates as high as 45K byte/sec. Moreover,
if I ping B from A, after having limited B's traffic to 32Kbit, I do not
see ping times that match transmission times on a 32K bit link.
Can this behaviour be achieved using CBQ ?? Is there some other means of
achieving the same on Linux ??
Thanking you in advance for your help,
Ajit
