Has anyone successfully gotten a linux bridge to use ipchains rules? I've read a bunch of howto's/webpage's on how to do it, but it doesn't seem to be working. The bridging part works great. I'm using a recompiled 2.2.12 kernel. According to one of the webpages I read, I needed to apply a patch to br.c. I did that, but the patch failed. When I examined the br.c source, I had found that the patch is now part of the stock kernel distribution. My main goal is to block DHCP traffic, so if there is a different/better way to do this, please let me know.
