I have two comptuers setup on a network, one Win95 machine, and Linux
machine, which has IP masq setup on it, so it can act as a router thru
PPP via modem. Web browsing works well on the Win95 machine, except when
accessing FTP sites thru the CuteFTP client. The client gives out the
network card's address (192.168.1.2) instead of the PPP interface
address. Then the FTP site freaks out and says Illegal Port
Something-Or-Other.
These are the two commands I use to setup IP Masq (I've put them in
/etc/rc.d/rc.local):
ipchains -P forward DENY
ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 -j MASQ
Am I missing anything or are these commands incorrect?
Thanks
Daniel.
P.S. Thanks Anthony Stace for your tip RE: Chat :-)
