A server I configured for one of my large customers has close to 800
internal mail accounts on a P75 with 48Mb of RAM and two 16 gigs IDE drives.
Qmail practically kicks butt at what it is doing, the uptime of the machine
is not over 400 days. In addition to that is has a dozen of mailing lists
with Ezmlm-idx which was designed to work specifically with Qmail. You can
not go wrong with Qmail. http://www.qmail.org
