Pardon, I wrote a message saying that my token ring card was a 3c359c, but
this card isn't it, my REAL card is a ISA 3c619c, wich is supported by the
linux kernel....

This is the new message

Hi, I have a token ring card which is supported by linux kernel, my nic
 is a 3com (3c619c) in ISA.

When I boot my linux box, the nic is initialized ok, I can do "ping
yahoo.com" and the nic respond to me correctly.

But in a few minutes the kernel says to me: ISRP_EVEN: 08 (this error is
a card failure), but this card is OK in MSDOS, Win95, and WinNT...

I have to do this: in suse 6.2 for initialize the nic:

 network stop
rmmod ibmtr
insmod ibmtr
network reload
route reload

....and...the card is initialized...all is OK another time...but in a few
 minutes... "ISRP_EVEN:08"...again..

I have changed the card by anoter one ISA 3COM supported by the kernel, (an
ISA 3c619c) but
nothing, the message appear again... "ISRP_EVEN: 08"...
This card is OK too in MSDOS and Win95 in other computer.

I have try add some code in ibmtr.c for init the card when this message
appear..but I think not very well...

 What's happen???
any idea for reset the card ??
is it a bug ???

I work in a University departament, where all the computers are in token
ring, my linux box work as router and firewall, and it's a samba server,
this computer has a ethernet card too...

 thanks in advance.....
 goyo
