When I set up sendmail last week, relaying was blocked by
default. Actually, I have it double-blocked right now because I don't
allow incoming SMTP connections, and won't until the sendmail stuff is
running on a dedicated server box.
More importantly, linuxconf has a checkbox for "spammer control".
