I am facing a problem with an ethernet adapter SMC EtherPower II epic100
under Linux-Mandrake 6.1
my machine is AMD K6-2 450 Mhg 64 MB of RAM 6 GB of DISK.
after configuring the network , everything  seems OK (below the results of
ifconfig ping and lsmod commands)
the machine untill now is not able to see other thing than itself in my
network composed of a hundred of workstations .
i have chenged it by another card (3com) iget the same results .
Installed on another AMD k6-2 machine under Windows 98 these cards work fine
. I HAVE EVEN INSTALLED WIN98
ON THE SAME MACHINE AND NETWORK WORKS FINE .
(my machine ip adr is 172.16.4.16 , network is 172.16.0.0 ,netmask
255.255.0.0 , another machines on the same
network 172.16.4.1 , 172.16.4.10 , 172.16.4.60 )
CAN ANY BODY PLEASE HELP SOLVE THIS PROBLEM
