For what it is worth I found this book:
Linux Networking Unleashed with CDROM
The interesting part is the claim:
Covers all the major networking changes in Linux 2.2/2.3 including
information on how to run several utilities that have no documentation.
I saw 3 publication dates for the book 1/2000, 4/2000 and 5/2000
