I want to configure dail-in ppp server , i am using "mgetty"
(ver-1.1.21), i installed successfully and edited *.conf files but its not
working ,its showing following error:
in file:/var/log/mgetty.ttyS1
mgetty: experimental test release 1.1.21-july 24
WARNING: DSR is off - modem turned off or bad cable?
timeout in chat script. waiting for "RING"
init chat timed out. truing force-init-chat.
& in file:/var/log/messages
init chat failed. exiting.....: Interrupted system call
failed in mg_init_data, dev=ttyS1, pid=xxx
I don't know how to solve the problem . So please direct me to good site or
please reply me how to solve the problem so that i can give login to my
client machine.
Note: with out authentication ppp is working fine ie., manually executing
ppp-on scripts on both sides.
