Not badly, infact fine for a 4x100Mbit I think. I use the
K6-3 450, because it has a 64kL1 and 256KL2 *on die* running at full
CPU clock, coupled with an on MB 1MB cache@100Mhz.
Price differences are...
Thermal alarming
60MB SanDisk in Swap bay
ANA6944TX quad 100Mbit tulip cards (2 or 3)
1 - 2 DS1 interfaces w/ integrated CSU/DSU
etc...
That 5k will get me 8 100Mbit, 8 DS1.

Not that I know of, most places doing it at this level produce
