Or just use a terminal program, you'll have to log in each time, but it
doesn't involve the hassle of setting up PPP on both sides. The only
issue is to make the gettys not fight across the line. (One says machine1
console login:, the other takes that as the login name, etc.)
Better still, get a third machine which you connect to via other methods
and use it to connect to the other two via serial.
