Hi everyone, I'm starting work on writing a new protocol module, but am having difficulty finding documentation on how to do this. I have the "Linux Device Drivers" book, but the only information that seems really relevent is in Chapter 16, the section on "Networking". I also purchased the "IP Stacks Commentary", which doesn't seem to go into the detail I'm looking for at the upper layers. I've started tracing through the code in net, but I'd like an easier route. (Or even something to improve my journey through the code.) If anyone has any information, I would certainly appreciate references. I know this question has come up before, but it didn't seem to be fully answered on the list. I'll post a summary, if there's any interest.
