Folks,
I have a problem with my Samba setup that I need some help with.
I have two Windows NT Servers on a workgroup, and I'm trying to connect my
Linux (RH 6.1) system (Sony Vaio Z505S laptop) to them as another workgroup
member.
I've been able to ping both ways with no problems.
I've created a "guest" account that allows me to log onto the Linux system.
I can also telnet in and log onto this guest account. When I try to open
the Linux machine from the Windows desktop it asks me to log on and I enter
guest and the proper password and get the following error message:
[machine] is not accessible
The account is not authorized to login from this station.
My smb.conf file is:
[global]
workgroup = NFCSTEST
server string = Samba Server
hosts allow = 192.9.205. 127.
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
[homes]
browseable = no
map archive = yes
[tmp]
comment = Temporary file space
path = /tmp
browseable = yes
read only = no
guest ok = yes
The Samba daemons (smbd & nmbd) are both running.
I'm sure there is something simple that I've overlooked, but I can't figure
what.
In Harmony's Way, and In A Chord,
Tom :-})
