Here's my scenario: eth0: 172.16.128.11/255.255.255.0 eth1: 172.16.127.50/255.255.255.0 default route is 172.16.128.1 via eth0. (A Cisco RSM) When a workstation (172.16.127.61) attempts to connect to the 172.16.128.11 address, it cannot. (Nor can it successfully ping it.) The workstation's route to 172.16.128.11 is via 172.16.127.1, the same Cisco RSM. I think the Linux machine is trying to reply on the eth1 interface, but I am not sure. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if it is really blaring mistake, apologies for my ignorance in advance!
