I have enabled tcp/telnet services in /etc/inetd.conf .
Anyway these come enabled in the default installation settings (RH
5.2) .
I also replaced the ftpd executable ,in the inetd.conf entry for
ftp , with a dummy executable(does a print and exits)
but when i do a ftp from the second m/c , this executable does not
run .
It runs when i do ftp from the same m/c .
Also inetd (when executed with debug option) does not report any
service requests from the second m/c (when i do
ftp from the second m/c ) .
Please ask for any other info required .
