Windows behaviour

Hello,

I happened to turn on tcpdump on my Windows to Linux LAN (I use the Linux
box as a PPP dial-on-demand connection for my Windows people), and I noticed
lots of netbios-ns requests from my Windows clients to my ISP's name server.
Wondering if that is bad, can I stop it, whether my ISP can tell what I am
doing, etc.
