I guess this is a really dumb question but I have never tried to access a
floppy from within Linux before.
I am trying...
# mount /mnt/floppy
... and getting...
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
or too many mounted file systems
I have tried this with a disk I have formatted my self... using
# fdformat /dev/fd0H1440
and also tried mounting the Boot Disk that came with RedHat, same problem.
Could I have too many file systems mounted? I appear to only have two...
# mount
/dev/hda5 on / type ext2 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext2 (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
Any help REALLY appreciated, this is starting to annoy me.
thanx
pete.
