That isn't quite accurate. You can, through clever use of shell commands,
change the frequency and duration of beeps between sending them out.
However, you'll find this to be rrrreeeeaaaallll ssssllllooooowwwww. So it
won't play the way you want.
Unless Linux doesn't have the beep setting options (like Unix has). In that
case, "never mind". But they must have, since you can do it from the KDE
panel.
