hi all,

i was looking at 802.1x (port base authentication) and trying to implement
it at the same time. however, i had little idea how the supplicant is to
obtain the user's authentication information (assuming a per user
authentication implementation rather than a per machine type) to pass to
the authenticator. IMHO, the ideal case would be when the user logs in,
his username and passwd could be captured and transmitted to the
authenticator. is this alrite and could this be done?

would be glad if anyone who had read 802.1x could give me some light ;p

thanx.

Nelson
