Warning: This is no 100% linux-related networking question (in fact, it
has nothing to do with Linux itself).

IIRC the MAC address consists of two parts. The first part are the first
three bytes of the MAC that address the vendor of the card. The second
part is a number applied by the vendor in order to mark the card. Some-
thing like that. Is there a directory of each used "vendor number"
available somewhere in the net?

I would like to be able to check via the list which vendor gave a MAC
to the card (who build the card). Any hints?
