In /etc/rc.d/rc2.d and /etc/rc.d/rc3.d

type

ln -s s90rc.firewall /etc/rc.firewall

to link the file to a Startup file in SuSE rc.d's config files.

There may be other ways as well depending on your internet status.
e.g. could use /etc/ppp/ip-up.local...
