We recently purchased silver cards for the technical people in our Annapolis
office. We found that the driver from Lucent was much easier to use and was
significantly better than the driver in pcmcia-cs-3.1.14.
We used the driver from the web site, not a CD-ROM, so that might have had
some impact.

You can just use module options. Reasons for getting the tools are
- you sometimes need to move locations
- you want to see the signal strength.

An actual bug: The Lucent driver has the same bug my drivers "grew". Some
kernel versions want dev_close(dev) to be called when the device is ejected
or the kernel will hang. This is a change in semantics that was never
advertised.
A two line patch fixes the problem.
