Howdy folks, need a bit of help with ssh portforwarding (pop3 and smtp in
this case)

I have a server running openssh behind a linux based masquing firewall that
forwards all ssh based traffic to the server. The server is not directly
accessible from the net except via ssh and is using non routable ips of the
format 192.xxx.yyy.zzz. The server runs its own forwarding dns server for the
internal network

I have a laptop running windows98 and the Mindterm SSH client that supports
port forwarding.

So I dialup the net on the laptop, and using mindterm, login to the masq'ed
server. I then setup a tunnel on the laptop using say port 4500 for pop3
mapped to port 110 on the server, however since the server is not directly
accesible from the net, what ip address/hostname do I use for the server? do
I use its own internal dns name, its non routeable IP address or the ip
address of the firewall? I've tried all of the above and none seem to
work.... Will I need to have it use the dns sever on the internal server? Or
something else???

TIA
