Hello all,
Does anyone know if it's possible to use policy routing to route packets
from a specific IP address to another machine based on the destination's MAC
address? Here's our situation: We are experimenting with Mobile IP, and
want to support private addresses among mobile nodes. Under these
circumstances, it is possible for two machines being serviced by the same
foreign agent to have the same IP address, but different home agents. Thus,
we want to use policy routing to take packets, determine which mobile they
belong to by noting the originating home agent, and then forward the packet
to the appropriate mobile node.
If anyone has any ideas, involving policy routing or otherwise, I'd be
interested to hear them.
Thanks,
Kev
