MR> Hmm, does not look that good. Did you read "man i82365" already?

Yes, but it says nothing about the VIA VT83C469.

MR> If not, there are some parameters that could help if they would be
MR> changed.
MR> Did you find the name of your pcmcia bridge within the howto (in the
MR> "supported" section)?

The box reads:
        DataChute, from Antec Inc. <www.antec-inc.com>
        Compliat with PCMCIA 2.1, JEIDA 4.1 & IntelExCA 1.5
Supports most PC cards with or without CIS.
Supports DOS 5.0 or higher, Win 3.1, Win95/98.

This is what I found on the ISA card:
        4 chips 9D36 HC244 (20 pins each)
        4 capacitors
2 male sockets for the hoses that connect this ISA card to the
card drive (like a floppy drive)

There's only one visible chip on the Card drive:
1 big chip (aprox. 50 pins on each side -> aprox 200 pins) that
                says VIA VT83C469 9945CD TAIWAN 00B00771

According to section 1.4. ("supported") of PCMCIA-HOWTO, VT83C469 is
supported. But it does not work. I tried same parameters (I/O) that
M$Win98 reports.
I can modprobe pcmcia_core, but modeprobe i82365 fails saying:

/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/pcmcia/i82365.o: init_module: Device or resource
busy
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/pcmcia/i82365.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/pcmcia/i82365.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/pcmcia/i82365.o: insmod i82365 failed

Same thing happens when doing "./pcmcia start" at /etc/rc.d/init.d

Help please, can't stand any more these people saying "but in Windows it
works perfectly well". I don't want to go to prision for homicide.

Matias.
