Do you have 755 permission on BOTH the users home dir and the public_html?
You need to allow everyone to read and execute on the users home dir as well
as the public_html, so make sure the 755 perms are set on the home dir as
well.

Subject: /~user problem

In my srm.conf exists UserDir public_html, in my
access.conf exists something like this:
<Directory /home/*/public_html>
order deny, allow
allow from all
bla, bla ..

and still lynx http://localhost/~user failes with a
forbiden message. Is a RedHat6.1 and the ownership of
the directory and the file looks ok. Where is the problem?
