I have just setup Mandrake 7.2 on a Dell pc. I took the chicken way out and
let the setup make all the decisions. All came out well except on Sound from
sound card.
PC is a Dell Optiplex GXa, pentium II 233, 3 GB hard drive, 96 mg ram. Sound
card, video card, and nic all intergrated on motherboard.
Video is fine and networking is fine.
HardDrake 0.9.3 shows under soundcards Crystal PnP Audio system CODEC and
Crystal PnP Audio system MPU-401.
If in HardDrake I go to the Crystal PnP Audio system CODEC and select Run
Configuration tool, click on OK, when I should be hearing an 8 bit and 16 bit
sound sample, I only hear a slow "click - click - click" form the speaker.
Any suggestions, pointers.
