Oops... I overlooked putting this in my first email.

First of all when I do " modprobe aha152x aha152x=0x140,9" this is added to
my /var/log/messages file
...............................................................................
May 17 15:58:27 Penguin kernel: aha152x: BIOS test: passed, detected 1
controller(s)
May 17 15:58:27 Penguin kernel: aha152x0: vital data: PORTBASE=0x140, IRQ=9,

ANSI SCSI revision: 02
May 17 15:58:28 Penguin kernel: Detected scsi tape st0 at scsi0, channel 0,
id 3, lun 0
...............................................................................

I believe that that is ok. I think that the problem is below. This is what I
added to my fstab file for the tape drive.
...............................................
/dev/tape /tape auto noauto,user,nodev 0 0
................................................

This is what I get when I try to mount the tape.

.............................
Penguin:~ # mount /tape
mount: /dev/tape is not a block device
Penguin:~ #
............................

Any ideas?

Thanks

JIM
