I not really a good X user, however it looks to me as if you possably are
getting things mixed up. You say, /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts should that not be
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts ??
Also another thing is check your /etc/X11/XF86Config file for the FontPath
mine says;
"unix/:7100"
