 Yeah, but don't you just love the circular dependencies with rpms, and
the need to upgrade hald of the system just to upgrade one package ?

 Seriously, packages are nice when what you want is pre-packaged, but you
end up spending a lot of effort to keep your system up to date with the
distro.
