There should be no problem with the file size, providing you have room for it on the disk space where it is being transfered to. Would you mind defining "hard-lockups" for us, what are the symtoms, Questions from me. 1) Does the num-lock led light up when you press numlock.?? 2) Is the machine reachable from another machine via your network,? If appicable of course. 3) can you do anything with the machine, 4) What steps do you take.? 5) How long do you wait after you see that you have what you call a hard-lockup, do any leds work, keyboard or machines leds.??? 6) Are there any messages in your system logs.????? Please give as much information as possable, what you describe is a very abnormal situation. -- Regards Richard [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://people.zeelandnet.nl/pa3gcu/ - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
