I'm not so swift on sound configuration under Linux either, and tend to
rely on its steadily-improving autodetection and driver/module autoloading
for this sort of thing.  But I may still be able to say something
relevant, as follows.  Were I in your shoes, I would get good hardware
identification numbers off the two cards (by physically looking at them)
and enter those terms into a Google search.  I would then select "restrict
the search" and enter in the term - yes, you guessed it - "Linux."  You
will likely get lots of results telling you how other Linux users have
fared in trying to use that hardware.  If you look extensively enough, you
will likely find fairly specific advice for getting that hardware working
on your system - if it really is supported by Linux.  I'm not trying to
say you shouldn't ask here.  I'll bet there are people that have some
fairly ready answers of a more technical nature than mine who could help.
But when I've confornted situations like yours, I've usually started with
some basic 'net searching.  Hope this helps.
