Mike, Thanks for the quick response. I did exactly as you said and it started drakxconf. The settings you gave me did not work. I have a flatscreen moniter. I didn't know what kind of video card I had, but I found out. It's an SiS. And the flatscreen is capable of doing 1024X768, so I chose those settings in drakxconf. It worked as soon as I typed startx.
