Hi All

Several months ago when I setup my laptop I set the root directory at 8 GB
think that would be sufficient.

Yesterday attempting to add programs I attempted to put 10 GB of programs into
a 7GB partation. Damn I recall top of the line HD that only had 5 MB of
storage so I never expected to use 7 GB much less fill it up.

Anyway the box refused to open the GUI on reboot so I had to remove a number
of programs from the system by command line. What a pain. Since I of course
did not get all the dependencies correct there are now a number of libraries
left whose identity I have no idea of which relate to nothing.

Does any know of a way to identify superfluous rpm which do nothing but take
up space so that they can be removed.

Thanks

Frank
