Probably two of the most widely used window managers are:
Enlightement: http://www.rasterman.com
and
Windowmaker: http//windowmaker.org
Both are pretty good, though Windowmaker is easier on memory.
If you prefer an integrated desktop environment, try KDE or GNOME.
