Hmmm, sure enough no GCC. So I installed it off the RH CD, couldn't
find the stupid thing using Glint. So I just mounted the CD ROM, cd'd
to the RPMS directory and installed GCC from there. Also installed egcs
as well while I was at it. Now, this should work <fingers crossed>. I
wonder why I didn't do that when I installed Linux?

Thanks everyone and I'll let you know how it turns out. BTW anyone know
where gcc is located using Glint to find available rpms from the RedHat
CD? I figured it would be under the Libc when viewing the packages in
Glint, but a Query sure didn't seem to tell me what I wanted.

Command line, much better, much simpler, much easier. I am determined
to get the hang of this. I used a little UNIX in college, but that was
over 14 years ago. Guess I'm a little rusty. :-)

Thanks,

James
