I tried this and was able to successfully start httpd. I am unable to
connect to server from an external machine (I am able to telnet to the
server, ftp, and ping the server successfully) but when I do a port scan
from outside I still cant see http running on port 80. On the host machine
I am able to open a browser and connect utilizing the alias'
http://localhost, http://www, http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 (ip addy) and a
number of other methods

Is there something I am missing that is preventing me from connecting to
port 80 from external machine? (I have tried via IP, name, and other
methods) When placing the service on port 8080 I am able to connect from
externally.

Any help is greatly appreciated. . .thanks :)
