This is barely a Linux qustion (I'm in a VAX terminal, and have not figured out how to delete typos). I want to download files with cKermit from a directory on the VAX system to which I have access. If I s enter the VAX Kermit utility, I can Kermit>Send <filename>. Minicom allows me to selet a download protocol, which I presume is Kermit. But I don't know how to tell Minicom how to tell the remove system that it is ready to receive. An Alt-R receivee signal in minicom seems to do nothing. except offer the protocol options. Alt-K to gbegin Kermit atthe minicom end does nothing, apparently. Incidentally, I already set my Backspace key to delete in minicom, but the VAX ail utility does not understand. Haines Brown
