Hi,
I've recently had to reinstall my Linux system (after Win95 ate the Linux
partition, thankyouMrGates) and reconfigure the XFree system. I've managed
to do most of it, except for the odd problem that the cursor for the mouse
doesn't appear anywhere on the screen. The mouse is apparently being read,
since by wiggling the mouse I can make a window active or inactive--I just
can't see the cursor to see where the mouse is pointing. I am running
Caldera's OpenLinux 1.0.138 (I think that's the version #) on a Compaq
Armada 4131T laptop. The messages from X at one point say something about
a "hardware cursor" being used. I didn't have this problem with the
previous incarnation of the Linux system, but I was using a different build
of XFree86 at the time (I'm now using the very newest) and I'm still not
sure if all my config files are the same as they once were. Thanks for any
