I would like to copy files from a linux directory to another that I have mounted, but the target directory happens to be HPFS. For that reason, I can't run chmod on it. I assume I'm stuck, but would I have better luck if I created a DOS partition and then mounted it? o Or is there someway I might FTP the files from the ext2 partition to the HPFS partition? I have no difficulty copying files from that HPFS partition to an ext2 partition, of course. Haines Brown
