Cdrom Rom Drive...

I am trying to get Linux to 'see' my cdrom drive. It is a Mitsubutis
cr-562 drive that is working in DOS ok and is attached to the Sound Card.

Linux can't find it when I try various AUTO detect methods and I was
wondering if it was even possible for Linux to find it where its' attached
to a sound card.
