I've got a simple question about setting up X. I just put an ATI 3D
Xpression+ PC2TV 2-meg video card into my Linux box.
Fine, I go to set up X. I run xf86config and select the proper graphics
card from the list, input my monitor data (etc.) and all goes well.
Then I come to the part about the RAMDAC. I don't have a clue.
Could someone please give me an overview of what a RAMDAC is, what it
does, and how one finds out which one he has on his video card
(specifically, the above;-)? If so, I'd greatly appreciate it.
