You need to recompile one of the new 2.1.x Kernels, and enable the
experimental code.  This code allows you to select NTFS as a read-only
filesystem. (This may have changed by now... I am not sure)  Once you
have recompiled the kernel and utilites, you can mount an NTFS partition
the same way that you would any other partition.  (i.e...  put entry in
fstab, etc...)  I hope this helps.
