once in and root device mounted try to copy a kernel from the slakware CD or
one you downloaded from the net.
heres a command if you have the cd:
# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hd(yourCdRomDeviceNameHere) /(YourMountPoint) copy a
kernel over to your /vmlinuz .
then type:
# lilo
make sure lilo says something like :
added linux*
this should be enough to keep you busy for a while :)

try to reboot again, make sure that your /etc/lilo.conf has /dev/hda2 as your
root device. 
also make sure that theres a line in your /etc/fstab that states:

#_device_    _mountPoint_     _fstype_      _options_

/dev/hda2       /               ext2       defaults  1   1
