Your /etc/resolv.conf it's ok with these two lines:
domain mailbox.ro
nameserver 123.123.123.123 -> this is "mailbox.ro" IP address
Your /etc/hosts.allow may be empty.
Look in the /etc/ppp/pap-secrets file. You should have here the line with your
user and password for your mailbox:
myuser * mypassword
Do you have the line:
user myuser
in /etc/ppp/options file?
First try to start the connection manualy. Use minicom for establish the serial
connection and login manualy. If it works, start the pppd daemon (they have some
examples for manual connection in RedHat manual from CD).
If it doesn't work, mail to me... Ok, RO? :)
