Hold on a minute, i can assure you upgrading the kernel is "A lot easyer"
than installing a new system.
>From the moment you unpack the new kernel source tree, to the minute you
boot will take about 1 hour, depending on CPU speed of course, my p200 takes
7 minutes to make a kernel, and 2@3 minutes to compile and install all the
modules.
