fsck on reboot question

        Sometimes (i don't know why) but my keyboard will just stop when I'm in
the middle of typing stuff......so the only way to fix that (that i've
found) is to hit restart.  Now i know thats a not good and horrible
thing to do.  When i reboot and fsck runs and detects that my hard drive
wasn't unmounted i get

 10.6% uncontiguous

Now, how bad is that?  And what can i do you make 10% alot smaller.
